When reporting a bug, please include your iOS version, device model (e.g. iPhone 15 Pro), and a short description of what you were doing when it happened. Screenshots or screen recordings help a lot.
How to Play
- Each bottle holds several layers of colored liquid, mixed up.
- Tap a bottle to pick it up, then tap another to pour.
- Liquid only pours onto a matching color (or into an empty bottle), and only when there is room for it.
- Keep pouring until every bottle holds a single color — that solves the level.
- Stuck? Use undo to take back a pour, tap the hint for the next move, or restart the level to try again from the start.
Frequently Asked Questions
- Is every level solvable?
- Yes. Each level is generated from a fully solved arrangement and then shuffled by legal moves, so there is always at least one way to solve it. Restarting a level reproduces the exact same board, so you can retry a puzzle as many times as you like.
- I'm stuck. What can I do?
- Use the undo button to take back your last pour, or tap restart to reset the board. You can also request a hint to reveal a good next move, or use the extra-bottle option to open up space when the board is tangled.
- What does the extra bottle / rewarded ad do?
- When a board is hard to untangle, you can choose to watch a short rewarded ad to add an extra empty bottle and free up space. Rewarded ads are always optional — you can decline and keep solving, undo, or restart instead.
- What is the gravity spell?
- The gravity spell is a bit of in-game magic that helps rearrange the liquids to loosen up a stuck board. It is part of the puzzle toolkit — use it whenever it helps.
- How do I mute the sound effects?
- Open Settings inside the app to toggle sound effects on or off. Your choice is saved on your device.
- Why do I see ads?
- Sortcery is a free game and is supported by advertising. Ads are served by Google AdMob and may include app-open, banner, and rewarded formats. See our Privacy Policy for details.
- What is the "Allow Tracking" prompt on first launch?
- That is Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt. Choosing Ask App Not to Track means the app will not access your Identifier for Advertisers (IDFA). Ads will still be shown — just non-personalized ones. You can change your choice any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
- Sounds are not working.
- First, make sure your device is not in Silent / Low Power mode and that the in-app sound toggle is on. Some system sounds are also affected by the ringer switch and the device volume.
- The app crashed or froze.
- Try force-quitting the app and relaunching. If the issue persists, please email us at support@kozuke.dev with your iOS version and device model.
- How do I reset my progress?
- Deleting and reinstalling the app will clear all locally stored data, including your level progress and settings.
- Which languages are supported?
- Sortcery is available in English, Spanish, Japanese, Korean, and Simplified Chinese, following your device language.
- Which iOS versions are supported?
- Sortcery requires iOS 18 or later.
